Student Ministry

We exist to engage the whole person with the whole Gospel: Anywhere, Anytime, with Anybody.

For Student Ministry, this means prayerfully pointing students toward Jesus so that lives are changed and eternities saved.  A changed life through following Jesus essentially involves three compulsions.

To Believe:

.. that the Bible is our source for knowledge and therefore reveals the true story of God and humanity. Subsequently, who Jesus is and why we are naturally lost, but through the death and resurrection of Jesus, made God’s children and restored from pain to purpose.

To Belong: a community who consistently and lovingly point one another toward alignment with what we believe.  This looks like encouragement, accountability, honesty, and enjoyment.

To Be On Mission:

.. with Jesus in His plan to carry out the redemption and restoration of all creation.  This means taking the Gospel to the lost and searching, as well as acting as agents of redemption in their homes, neighborhoods, schools, teams, and clubs; through love, sacrifice, prayer, and proclamation of the Gospel message.

Connect Groups

Small groups are an incredibly versatile way to reach Nolensville with the Gospel, and even empower students to lead the charge.  We hope to effectively do both with this strategy.  These groups are led by students, who are trained by adults, and pop-up where there is the opportunity of time and people hungry for Gospel-centered friendships.  Many churches ask you to make the first move by visiting; we want to be a church that takes the first step toward you.

Our current Connect Group Offerings:

The Bible Reading Plan

We believe nothing on earth heals, shapes, and empowers us like The Bible.  We believe this requires consistent consuming of God’s Word; interacting with, memorizing, and teaching It as a way of life.  Therefore, all life groups will be following the same Bible Reading Plan.  We encourage all students to join us on a 3-year journey through the Bible.  Find the week and jump in!:

Alex Buckler

Alex was born in Alabama, raised in Washington DC, and began a relationship with Jesus as a senior in High School, in Minnesota.  He met his wife, Kristina, attending the University of Alabama before earning Masters Degrees from Southwestern Seminary.

The Buckler’s have lived in Nashville and served in the Brentwood Baptist family for three years.  They have a deep love for healing the hurt and growing followers of Jesus into tomorrow’s leaders.

Alex enjoys playing with their daughter, as well as walking and hiking with Kristina.  Alex finds rest in laughing with friends, reading a book that makes him think, frisbee golf, and working on cars.
