Join us as we support the Tennessee Alliance for Kids, a local non-profit that engages the community to meet the emergent and ongoing needs of children in foster care, those at risk of coming into foster care, and those aging out. These gifts are our way of showing youth who have aged out of foster care that they’re still seen and loved.

Christmas Stockings

On November 1st, we had 40 Christmas stockings claimed to support those who have aged out of foster care. If you selected one of those, please return it by November 29th with the following items: $25 Walmart Gift Card, $25 Pizza Hut Gift Card, 3-pack Chapstick, Hand Sanitizer, Pack of Game Cards (Uno, Phase 10, SkipBo, etc.), and a personalized card.

Laundry Basket Gifts

We were given an additional opportunity to support more youth by putting together laundry baskets full of useful items, which everyone is invited to help with.

Please use this list as a guide for what you could include in your gift:
Laundry Basket
Fleece Blanket
Devotional
Band-Aids
Hand lotion
Body wash
Garbage bags
Pack of AA Batteries
Dishcloths
Toilet Wand
Toilet Cleaner
Laundry Pods
Dryer Sheets
Dish Soap
Dishwashing Tablets

The stockings and laundry basket gifts are due in by Sunday, November 29th and can be dropped off at the church lobby during any Sunday service or brought by the church office during the week.

For many of the youth recipients, this is the first time they’ll be experiencing a holiday alone. Each one is enrolled in The Extension of Foster Care Program, which provides some assistance to those that have aged out of foster care as they are enrolled in college or technical/trade school. Let’s help them know they are not alone as God uses us to help bless them.
